Today was another scorcher. We have been on a long run of record setting temperatures in the Louisville KY metropolitan area. Temperatures in the 90s and 100s is almost becoming “normal”. Very atypical for our area to have such long and continuous temperatures without relief. The local horse farms have been having to purchase additional water troughs, and refilling them more frequently. Horses that normally would be outside, are being brought inside and put under fans in an attempt to cool them down. At least we are approaching the end of summer, and with it, some more normal temperatures should be on the way. Signs of Fall are already starting to happen. Some trees have started turning and losing their leaves, and I’ve seen several flocks of geese flying over the past few days.It won’t be long before we are getting ready for Harvest Festivals around the
Louisville
KY area. I can’t wait!
