In the most recent issue of the Louisville KY newspaper The Courier-Journal dated October 27 2007, they are reporting that Churchill Downs had a horse that has been determined to have the herpes virus. 35 horses and 1 pony were in Barn 47 and have been quarantined.

Shelbyville KY Water Advisory Lifted

Good news for local area farmers and horse farms. The Shelbyville KY water advisory has been lifted. The ban on watering lawns and landscaping can begin again. In the past week, we’ve recorded 7.4″ of rain. A little late, but definitely better late than never.
